SBI Clerk Exam Pattern and Other Details: A Fair Guide

The SBI (State Bank Of India) has announced to conduct the examination for the recruitment of junior associates (customer support and sales). This time SBI has released 8000 vacancies for the recruitment of the candidates for the year 2020.

SBI Clerk has been one of the most demanding banking jobs in the country and the candidates await the entire for the recruitment examinations. To help out the candidates, a detailed note about the SBI Clerk examination has been provided in this article.

The dates of the examination mentioned here will be provisional, as mentioned by the authorities in the official notification.

As per the above table, there will be two exams conducted here. The first would be a preliminary examination. Candidates who will pass this exam will go to sit for the second level, which is the mains examination. Prior to the final selection, there will be a local language test conducted. After passing this, the candidate will get selected as per the merit list provided by SBI.

SBI Junior Assistant 2020: Prelims Examination Pattern

Candidates will need to compensate, 0 .25 marks for each wrong answer(negative marking)

SBI Junior Assistant 2020: Mains Examination Pattern

SBI mains examination will be conducted for the candidates who will clear the preliminary examination.

SBI Junior Assistant 2020: Local Language Test

Candidates who will pass the mains examination would be asked for the local language test.  The language which was selected by the candidates at the time of applying for the examination, if that language is mentioned in their class 11 and 12 certificates, then they don’t need to appear for any further local language examination. Candidates who fail in the language test would be disqualified.

SBI Clerk 2020 Notification: Eligibility Criteria

Mandatory Academic Qualification (as on 1.1.2020): Graduation in any stream from a recognized University. Candidates carrying an integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should need to make it mandatory, that the passing date of the IDD is on or before 01.01.2020.

Those who are appearing or appeared in the final year examination of their graduation can also apply subject to further confirmation that, that if they selected provisionally, they would have to provide the proof of their graduation certificate on or before 01.01.20

Age limit: 20-28 Years (not born before 02/01/1992 and not after 01/01/2000)

SBI Junior Assistant: Salary related information

Pay Scale: Rs.11765-655/ 3-13730-815/ 3-16175-980/ 4-20095-1145/ 7-28110-2120/ 1-30230-1310/1-31450. The Basic Pay begins from Rs.13075/- (Rs11765/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduates)

As per the place of recruitment, allowances will be provided with the salary, like in case of placements in metropolitan city allowances would be more in comparison to the other non-metro cities. Candidates will also be eligible for various Leave-Fare, perquisites, medical, provident fund, pension fund under the New Pension Scheme and other facilities. These facilities will be provided as per the bank’s terms and conditions.

SBI Junior Assistant 2020 Notification: Application Fees

The fees charged for this examination by SBI, for different categories, is as follows:

  • SC/ST/PWD/XS: The candidates belonging to these categories do not have any application fees.
  • General/OBC/EWS: Rs. 750 charged per application.
